Dear Friends..., January 2021

“Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, Whispering 'it will be happier'...”  ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson

“For last year's words belong to last year's language, And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning." ~ T.S. Eliot

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dear Friends,

I feel a sense of excitement in thinking about the New Year and what I want to claim as my intentions, wondering if I have the ability to use my Power of Imagination to clothe them with such clarity that they

feel real before they manifest. Is my Power of Faith strong enough to believe in what is not yet seen? My Power of Strength strong enough so that I stay the course regardless of challenges I will surely face? From my highest self, my Christ Self, I say a resounding “Yes!” My human self that can fall into doubt and fear needs bolstering. So I dig deep and use my Power of Elimination and Release to just let that fear go. I remember the quote by the classic Unity writer Emily Cady: “Desire in the heart is God tapping on the door of our consciousness with his infinite supply.” If God’s infinite supply is mine, how can I doubt?

While I feel excited about the New Year and all it may bring, about the intentions I hold, and about changes that will surely come, I also am reminded about this quote by author, journalist, and naturalist Hal Borland. Borland says, “Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on.” That takes the pressure off of thinking we must live up to a whole new set of intentions, doesn’t it? New Year’s Day is just another day in the record of our life. We can release outworn thoughts, language, and behavior anytime and can set a new intention. We live process not endings and beginnings.

When I think of life in this way, I flow. I remember that to stay on my path, I must use my word authentically. I must keep my faith alive. I must walk my talk. When I meet challenges, I must remember that all is in divine order and that when I am patient, ultimate good comes from any situation—the Universe is in my favor.

As we enter this New Year of 2022, each of us as Truth students will take what is good from the challenging year that is ending. We will build on that and intend greater good for ourselves and our world. We will guard against getting caught in negativity when things look dire to our physical eyes and remember that we cannot see the whole picture. We will stand for Truth that desires the best for all humankind and for our beautiful earth. We will make conscious decisions.

As together we move ahead in this process of life, I support you and surround you with all my love. Remember how precious you are and that you are God’s gift to this earth.

Lovingly,
