Come join us for Reiki every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:30pm. (Call the church for holiday changes.)
Reiki is a Japanese technique (Rei: spirit, divine and Ki: vital energy, breath of life or life force energy) for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki energy has an intelligence of its own flowing where it is needed in the client and creating the healing conditions necessary for the individual’s needs. It cannot be guided by the mind; therefore, it is not limited by the experience or ability of the practitioners. Neither can it be misused, as it always creates a healing effect.

Our newly formulated A Course in Miracles (ACIM) class at Unity Church in Redding is meeting on Thursdays from 10-11:30am, facilitated by Lorri Oyler.
On August 3rd, we will begin lesson one using two texts in conjunction with one another – A Course in Miracles and A Year of Forgiveness for a year. These beautiful lessons help us in transforming our perceptions. This is the perfect opportunity for those searching for meaning in life and are ready for a spiritual awakening.

The Magic of Surrender is a guide to moving past inner struggle to discover the power of relinquishing control. Too often we limit our lives by putting conditions on them. We think things should go a certain way, and when they don't, we hold on to what isn't working, reinforcing what is causing us pain and affirming our lack of trust in the universe. There is another way: We can harness the power of relinquishing control to discover more purpose & meaning in life.
