Unity teaches oneness. As a spiritual community, Unity Church in Redding is part of a larger whole. We strive to live our Vision “to co-create a world that works for all.”
We honor diversity and promote religious understanding. As members of the Shasta County Interfaith Forum we participate in special services and events. We especially enjoy the Annual SCIF Interfaith Thanksgiving Service and the Floating of the Lanterns Ceremony during the Season for Peace and Nonviolence.
We participate in the Sikh Vaisakhi Festival each year and were especially blessed to take our entire community down to the Sikh Temple in Anderson to participate in one of their services and share a communal meal with them.
We support local agencies here in Redding. For the past two years, under the leadership of Denise Graham, we have been servers at the Annual Shasta Women’s Refuge Crabfeed.
Each Christmas, we do a Community Christmas Offering and/or project to benefit a local organization. One of our favorites is providing warm hats, socks and gloves for the homeless men who come to People of Progress.
God is our Source and as we give, so do we receive.
Unity in Redding is a tithing church. 10% of all we receive is given back to the universe to do God's work. We support various local organizations as well as Unity organizations such as Silent Unity and Unity Worldwide Ministries.
